Bryan Devonshire and Jason Potter are seated next to each other at Table #40, and Devonshire noticed Lee Markholt watching them from the rail. Markholt pointed out that they were all part of the WPT Reno final table from last season, which Markholt won. Devonshire said, “You should take a seat next to Jason here.”
Markholt seemed to like that comment, having busted out of the tournament earlier today. Markholt said, “We could re-enact that final table.”
Devonshire laughed and relived a moment from that final table, where he finished second. “I’m drawing dead? Nice hand. That’s your re-enactment.”
For those who don’t remember, Devonshire was drawing dead on the last hand of the WPT Reno final table. The board showed [4s3h2sJd] on the turn, and Devonshire moved all in with [8h4c] for a pair of fours. But Markholt showed [Jh4d] for two pair, and there wasn’t a single card in the deck that could save Devonshire, who was clearly annoyed he wasn’t even given a chance to root for a one-outer.
