Current Chip Leader - Joe Raposa with 310,000

Apr 4, 2009

Joe Raposa appears to be the current overwhelming chip leader with 310,000.  Raposa gained many of his chips last level in three specific hands.  First, he cracked an opponet’s aces while holding 9-7, then Raposa caught a huge Nick Saxton river bluff after Saxton missed a flush draw.  Finally, he busted his friend in the following hand:

Action folds to Joe Raposa on the button who raises to 3,500.  Mike Farris reraises from the small blind to 8,000 and Raposa calls.  The flop comes 2-3-5 with two clubs.  Farris leads out for 11,000 and Raposa makes the call.  The turn is the [4d] and Farris bets again, this time for 16,000.  Raposa moves him all in and Farris makes the call with A-Q for the straight, however, Raposa has the nuts with [6c7c].  The river is a blank and Raposa takes down the hand.
