Hands #34-36: Randy Pfeifer Doubles Thru Philippe Belley

Hand #34  –  Shawn Cunix raises under the gun to 140,000, and Aaron Mermelstein pauses in the small blind to take a look at the stack of Randy Pfeifer in the big blind. Pfeifer says, “About 790K.” Mermelstein folds, and so does Pfeifer.

Cunix shows Q-Q as he collects the blinds and antes.

Hand #35  –  Casey Yontz raises under the gun to 125,000, winning the blinds and antes.

Hand #36  –  Philippe Belley raises under the gun to 125,000, Eugene Todd calls from middle position, and Randy Pfeifer (pictured) moves all in from the button for 675,000.

Belley asks for an exact count before he calls, and then Todd takes off his headphones and asks, “What is it? A million?” The dealer tells him it’s 675,000, and Todd folds.

Pfeifer turns over AA, and he needs it to hold to stay alive against Belley’s A10.

The board comes Q847J, and the pocket aces hold up for Pfeifer to win the pot and double up in chips.
