Meet the WPT Final Table

Seat 1.  Brian Altman  –  10,330,000  (129 bb)

Brian Altman is a 26-year-old professional poker player from Longmeadow, MA. He is a product of the “Moneymaker Boom”, but unlike other professionals from that era, he finished school and got a doctorate degree from the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Outside of poker, Altman is the Assistant Coach for the Sabris Bulldogs, a wrestling team in Springfield, MA that his brother coaches.

This is Altman’s first WPT final table, but he has already had a lot of success in the game. He won the PokerStars yearly tournament leaderboard in 2010, and then, after Black Friday, he began to build a live resume with his biggest score being a fifth-place finish in the Borgata Poker Open for over $75,000 last November. He has already locked up the biggest live cash of his career, but has a chance to do serious damage at the final table as he comes into the final table a close second in chips with about a third of the chips in play.

Seat 2.  Mark Dube  –  11,620,000  (145 bb)

Mark Dube is a 25-year-old professional poker player from Massachusetts, and by most criteria he would be considered the favorite to win this WPT Final Table.

The big dynamic at the start of this final table is the fact that Dube and Brian Altman have 71% of the chips. But Dube not only has more chips (about 1.3 million more), but he also has immediate position on Altman’s left.

Dube also has the most impressive poker résumé, with five WSOP cashes and more than $735,000 in live tournament earnings. The biggest score of Dube’s live career was $377,467 for winning a $5,000 no-limit hold’em tournament in Las Vegas. In that event, Dube overcame an extremely tough final table that included Jake Schindler, Paul Volpe, Justin Young, Amichai Barer, Kevin MacPhee, and two-time WPT champion Tommy Vedes.

Seat 3.  Sanjay Gehi  –  2,515,000  (31 bb)

Sanjay Gehi is a 36-year-old Certified Public Accountant from Anniston, Alabama. He graduated from Georgia Tech with a Masters Degree in Business Administration and is married with one son.

Gehi’s poker résumé includes one cash at the World Series of Poker and one on the WSOP circuit, for a total of $12,193. He’s already guaranteed at least $146,245 at this final table, which is a huge step up.

Seat 4.  Kelly Minkin  –  3,780,000  (47 bb)

Kelly Minkin is a 27 year-old attorney from Wisconsin, currently resides in Scottsdale, AZ. When she isn’t practicing law, she is spending time on the felt. Minkin’s first recorded tournament cash was a big one — $151,983 for finishing second to Joe Kuether in the 2013 Arizona State Poker Championship.

Minkin has already locked up her second six-figure score here, and a fifth-place finish or better would become the biggest cash of her poker career.

Seat 5.  Greg Rosen  –  1,150,000  (14 bb)

Greg Rosen is a 48-year-old recreational poker player who was born in New Jersey but grew up locally here in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Rosen makes his living in security, but has been playing poker off-and-on for about 20 years. Rosen is married with two children — twins.

Rosen is living the recreational poker player’s dream, as he earned his entry into this event on a $100 satellite, and now he’s at a WPT Final Table playing for a major title and $723,008.

However, Rosen isn’t without tournament experience. He has 25 tournament cashes in South Florida, with total earnings of nearly $80,000. He’s already eclipsed that total just by making this final table, guaranteed at least $146,245.

Seat 6.  Jon Graham  –  1,400,000  (17 bb)

Jon Graham is a 24-year-old online poker pro from Orlando, Florida. He started playing poker because of the “Moneymaker Effect” and while he has previously cashed in a WSOP event, this is his first cash in a World Poker Tour event — and now he’s at the final table with a shot at a first prize worth $723,008.
