The flop comes 962, a player bets from the blinds and Owen Crowe calls from early position. The turn is the A. The player bets again, Crowe raises, and his opponent calls.
The river pairs the board with the 2 and the player moves all in for a little less than 9,000. Crowe thinks for a while, then calls.
“Two pair,” the player announces as he shows 69 for nines and sixes. Crowe shows A10for aces and deuces and takes the pot, busting the player in the process.
After the player exits, tablemate Peter Jetten comments, “He had three pairs. That’s a lotta pairs.” As the discussion continues, Jetten suggests the player didn’t notice the board had paired until after he shoved all in.
