Mike Leah min-raises to 400,000, Anthony Zinno reraises to 825,000, and Leah moves all in for 3,950,000.
Zinno snap-calls with AA, and Leah turns over A3. Leah needs to improve to stay alive.
The board comes 105235 — Leah flops a gutshot straight draw, but improves no further. Anthony Zinno wins the pot — and his third WPT title — with two pair, aces and fives.
Mike Leah finishes as the runner-up, earning $701,350.
Anthony Zinno wins the WPT L.A. Poker Classic, earning $1,015,860, which includes a $15,400 entry into the season-ending WPT World Championship. Zinno also receives a WPT Champions Trophy, a pair of gold Monster 24K Headphones, and a Hublot Oceanographic 4000 Watch. Zinno’s name is already on the WPT Champions Cup, but it will now be added a third time with two diamonds next to his name to signify that he won two titles before this one.
Zinno is the third player in WPT history to win back-to-back titles, after Marvin Rettenmaier and Darren Elias. He is also the third player to win three WPT titles, after Gus Hansen and Carlos Mortensen. Those are some pretty exclusive corners of the WPT Champions Club.
Congratulations to Anthony Zinno!
