Mar 17, 2015

Konstantinos NanosVladimir Krastev raised from the button to 65,000 and Thomas Bichon quickly folded his small blind. Konstantinos Nanos three-bet to 175,000 from the big blind and almost instantly Krastev four-bet to 390,000.

Nanos tanked for quite a while before five-betting to 875,000 with about 1.6 million left behind.

Krastev took his time, but eventually he announced “All in.”

“Call,” Nanos snapped, and he tabled AclubAdiamond.

Krastev showed KdiamondQdiamond and he was in a lot of trouble in this pot worth over five million chips.

The flop brought 8club9diamond5club and Krastev was looking for running straight, flush or two-pair cards. On the turn the 4diamond hit and Krastev picked up a flush draw.

“Never easy,” Bichon smiled, as Nanos was bent over on the rail trying to keep his composure.

The river brought the Qheart and Nanos’ pair of aces held up. The German celebrated loudly, kissed the WPT Champions trophy and sat back down to receive 2,480,000 chips from Krastev.

Konstantinos Nanos – 5,005,000
Vladimir Krastev – 800,000
Thomas Bichon – 795,000
