Hands #76-78: Ryan Rivers Doubles Thru Sean Syed Shah

Hand #76  –  Joe Ebanks min-raises from the cutoff to 200,000, and Shawn Nguyen calls from the big blind. The flop comes A85, Nguyen checks, Ebanks bets 175,000, and Nguyen calls. The turn is the 6, and both players check.

The river is the 7, Nguyen checks, Ebanks bets 800,000, and Nguyen calls. Ebanks shows 95 to win the pot with a nine-high straight, and Nguyen mucks.

Hand #77  –  Ryan Rivers min-raises from the button to 200,000, and Brian Green calls from the big blind. Both players check all the way down on a board of AJ7K10, and Rivers shows A4 to win the pot with a pair of aces. Green mucks.

Hand #78  –  Sean Syed Shah raises form the hijack to 225,000, Ryan Rivers (pictured) calls from the cutoff, Shawn Nguyen calls from the button, and Andre Crooks calls from the big blind. The flop comes A65, Crooks checks, and Shah bets 450,000. Rivers calls, and Nguyen and Crooks both fold.

The turn is the K, Shah checks, and Rivers bets 625,000. Shah check-raises all in, and Rivers calls all in for 1,655,000 with 55 (set of fives). Shah turns over AQ (pair of aces), and he’s drawing dead.

The meaningless river card is dealt, and Rivers doubles up with his set of fives.
