The partypoker WPT Canadian Spring Championship resumed on Saturday with 234 players taking to the felt on Day 1B — creating a total field size of 370 entries. After 10 levels of play, 102 survived the day and will return on Sunday to join the 50 Day 1A surviors.
Leading the Day 1B batch is Champions Club member Eric Afriat (pictured above) with 212,200. Also bagging big stacks were Jason Duval (188,400), partypoker qualifer Kevin Singh (187,700), Kevin Lee Sharp (159,000), Justin Rabba (150,700), Champions Club member Marvin Rettenmaier (134,700), Darryll Fish (130,200), and Laurence Grondin (126,400). Others who finished further down the leaderboard include Jeff Gross (103,300), Griffin Benger (99,700), partypoker qualifer Michael Stone (84,100), John Krpan (75,000), partypoker qualifers James Formby (66,500), Ashley Cheung (62,500), Byron Springer (62,500), and Edmund Campion (57,600), Champions Club member Brian Altman (45,500), partypoker qualifers Richard Hunter (14,400) and Kim Kilroy (12,200), and Danny Suied (8,100).
Among those who failed to reach Day 2 are WPT commentator Mike Sexton, Jonathan Duhamel, Sam Chartier, and Champions Club members Amir Babakhani, Matt Salsberg, Jonathan Jaffe, Chanracy Khun, and Aaron Mermelstein.
