Eleanor Gudger Busted

Eleanor Gudger

Anish Mistry has done what 2,133 players couldn’t do last year in the WPT500 – bust Eleanor Gudger. Mistry raised an opening bet of 400 to 1600 pre-flop, which Eleanor re-raised to 5,000. Only Mistry called.

On a flop of Diamond 9Heart JClub J , Gudger bet another 5k, which Mistry called. Both players checked the turn of Club A but on the river Spade 6 Gudger led for 8,000 chips. Mistry raised all-in over the top and had Gudger covered, so that when she called and saw his hand of Spade JDiamond Q, she was out of the tournament.

She’ll still have an opportunity to reclaim her crown with other Day 1 flights still left to enter, the soonest being Day 1b, which kicks off at 5pm.
