William Benson Saved By a Flush on the Board

Apr 19, 2016

Bryan Piccioli raises under the gun to 42,000, William Benson moves all in from middle position for 429,000, and Chino Rheem calls from the cutoff. Piccioli folds.

Benson turns over Spade 9Club 9, and he needs his hand to hold to stay alive against Rheem’s Diamond ADiamond Q.

But the board comes Heart JHeart 10Heart 8Heart 3Heart 9 — Rheem rivers a queen-high straight, but it’s meaningless with a heart flush on the board. Neither player has a heart, so it’s a chopped pot.

Chino Rheem  –  1,300,000  (65 bb)
William Benson  –  480,000  (24 bb)
