Roland Israelashivili Looks to Capture His First WPT Title

Roland Israelashivili is no stranger to poker. In fact, the man from Forest Hills, New York has results dating all the way back to 2005. Since then, he’s amassed more than $2.6 million in live tournament earnings.

Among the highlights on his poker résumé is a career-high score of $317,882 for finishing fifth in the 2012 World Series of Poker $50,000 Poker Players’ Championship, placing third in the 2013 WSOP Little One for One Drop for $295,433, and winning the 2010 WSOP Circuit Caesars Atlantic City Main Event for $264,715. All told he has four WSOP Circuit rings to his credit.

Israelashivili had also won other titles across the United States including at the Southern Poker Championship in Biloxi, at the Borgata Poker Open, L.A. Poker Classic, and PCA,

However, a prestigious WPT title has escaped him thus far. The closest he came was just last year when he finished eighth in the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic for $127,065. All told Israelashivili has five WPT cashes totaling $176,630.

Israelashivili just took a seat here in the partypoker WPT Canadian Spring Championship and will be looking to add to that total.
