Mikiyo Aoki Looking to Break Through

While Mikiyo Aoki may not be a household name in the poker industry just yet, the Bozeman, MT native has made quite a name for herself over the past few summers in Vegas. Aoki broke into the poker scene when she finished 2nd in the 2014 WSOP Ladies event for over $94,000. As impressive as the run was, she would follow it up with an 82nd place finish in the Main Event later that summer for over $72,000. The two monster cashes would be a nice start to an already impressive poker resume, as she has notched eight total cashes for nearly $200,000 in earnings. This event marks Aoki’s first WPTDS event, and she is certainly a viable threat as play continues here into the late hours of Friday evening.
