Nenad Medic (pictured below) opens to 900 from the cutoff and Eric Afriat (pictured above) calls in the small blind with the big blind coming along to the flop. The blinds check and Medic leads out for 1,600 with only Afriat sticking around to see the turn.
Both players check the turn and do the same after the river. Afriat tables and Medic muck with less than 10,000 behind.
Both players are members of the WPT Champions Club; Medic joined the club with a win during the Foxwoods WPT World Poker Finals in 2006 and Afriat earned his title in the 2014 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Championship. Afriat is also looking for his second deep run following his third place finish in the partypoker.net WPT Montreal main event two weeks ago.
Eric Afriat – 68,000 (170 bb)
Nenad Medic – 9,100 (23 bb)
