Mike Dentale and David Inselberg Eliminated by Victor Ramdin

Feb 26, 2017

Phil Hui raises to 35,000 under the gun and the player in the hijack calls. Travis Hartshorn calls from the cutoff and Victor Ramdin calls on the button. Mike Dentale takes a few moments in the small blind before calling.

“This is my first mistake,” says Dentale.

David Inselberg stands up in the big blind and counts the number of players in the hand before calling. Six players heads to a flop of Diamond ADiamond 6Spade 4 and Dentale moves all in for about 90,000. Inselberg moves all in for about 220,000 and everybody folds around to Ramdin, who calls and has both players covered.

Dentale shows Diamond KDiamond Q, good for the nut flush draw, Inselberg tables Heart AHeart 4, good for two pair, and Ramdin shows Diamond 5Diamond 2, good for a flush draw that is no good and a gutshot straight draw.

The turn is the Club 8, giving Ramdin a few more outs, and the river is the Spade 7. Ramdin fills his straight on the river to knock out two players and drag the pot. Dentale takes home 55th place since he had fewer chips than Inselberg, who will take 54th place. Dentale earns $3,733 and Inselberg takes home $4,116.

Victor Ramdin – 1,750,000 (109 bb)
