Connor Drinan is from Arlington Heights, Illinois, and he has over $10.5 million in career earnings thanks to 71 career cashes. His largest score was a third-place finish in the $500,000 buy-in Super High Roller Bowl in Las Vegas in the summer of 2015. Drinan has seven WPT cashes on his resume, and he almost made the final table at Bay 101 Shooting Star last season (eighth place). His most recent cash on tour came last month at the Fallsview Poker Classic, a 23rd-place finish that was good for $12,863.

“Today was pretty swingy. I started with 180, and I had a really tough table on the bubble. I had no hands so I basically blinded off for two hours. I went down from 185 to 110, and then as soon as the bubble burst I got aces against Niall’s [Farrell] ace-king,” said Drinan about his deep run on Day 3. The money bubble stunted the growth of his stack for a while, but he found a groove during six-handed play that allowed him to grow his stack to seven figures. “Yeah, I definitely ran good, and also six-handed is just nice to see more hands, play more flops. I love how the strucure changes to six-handed and 90 minute levels, it’s great,” said Drinan.
