Three-handed play remained even for about an hour but the pendulum is now in Jose Montes’s favor after he doubled up through Karim Bevans.
Nicholas Verderamo opened for 225,000 on the button and Bevans three-bet to 700,000. Montes jammed for 2,260,000 total in the big blind and Verderamo got out of the way. Bevans called once action was back to him to create the biggest pot of the tournament.
Montes was ahead with against the of Bevans and held through the board to double up. Montes is playing 4,600,000 and Bevans is down to less than 10 big blinds.
