Paul Gresel looked a happy man as he held the €4,475 ($4,923) he got for finishing in 18th place in the inaugural WPTDeepStacks Amsterdam.

Looking over his Hendon Mob profile, you notice that Paul Gresel has made it his mission to cash big PokerStars Main Events.

Starting in EPT Barcelona last August, continuing through to EPT Malta, he cashed both EPT Main Events. Then he headed over to the PokerStars Festival in Rozvadov where he cashed the Main Event again. And this week he finished 80th in the PokerStars Championship Monte Carlo for €9,540.

“It was a really great experience. There are a lot of good players so it meant that I was the underdog, but I like that. It was nice that I made the money.

“When I cashed in the Main in Monte Carlo, they gave you a piece of paper telling you all about Amsterdam and the WPT.”

“I was already planning to come here anyway, but the MonteDam Swing was really nice. And it’s not over yet!”

Gresel won the WPT National in Brussels last October for €45,000, but this time last year he won the same WPT €1,500 Event in Amsterdam for €69,020. He plans to play the Main Event later on in the week, but for now he was happy with an 18th place finish with the WPTDeepStacks.
