With the Main Event kicking off today, alongside Day 2 of the High Roller, more and more faces from the PokerStars Championship Monte Carlo are filtering through into the fields. Those include Frenchman Fabrice Soulier who finished 55th in the Main Event in the principality.

“I arrived yesterday in Amsterdam,” explained the 2011 bracelet winner, “I was with my family resting.”

Soulier said that he had played some WPT events before, including a final table back in 2006.

“I play so many different tournaments, that sometimes it’s confusing with all the different chips. I like the chips to be consistent, it just makes it more harmonious, you know?”

Both Soulier and his wife Clare qualified for the Main Event through yesterday’s satellite and are sitting on healthy stacks in the level after the first break.

“I’m playing quite good at the moment,” said Soulier, “I played well in the Main Event in Monte Carlo, and I also qualified for the €25,000.

“Unfortunately I bust at the end of Day 1 of the High Roller. But it was interesting. I like the way I’m playing lately and I’m really motivated.”
