With Day 1B of the Main Event ticking along nicely, we thought we’d take this opportunity to have a look at how things are shaping up in the WPTDeepStacks Portugal Player of the Series Leaderboard. The winner of the Leaderboard will win a dinner show for two at the Casino Solverde, Vilamoura, as well as the WPTDS Player of the Series trophy.
Here are the current standings:
Position | Name | Points
1 – Rui Gabriel – 130
2 – Joao Sabino – 120
3 – Claudio Coelho – 100
4 – Bruno Simoes – 94
5 – Juan Macias – 91
6 – Teresio Ciancanelli – 84
7 – Jose Quintas – 70
8 – Vasile Doros – 65
9 – Nicolas Hameau – 57.2
10 – Pedro Cavaleiro – 52.8
11 – Rui Milhomens – 50.4
12 – Anthony Zinno – 50
Rui Gabriel was the winner of the WPTDS Portugal Opening Event for €10,000 and is now leading the standings thanks to the field bonus after he bested a field of 151 entries.
Second as it stands is Joao Sabino who yesterday took down the WPTDS Bounty event for €3,863.
Rounding out the top three is Claudio Coelho (pictured above) who won the WPTDS High Roller and who is currently playing in the Main Event Day 1B after failing to make it through to Day 2 yesterday.
Finishing third in the High Roller was three-time WPT Champion Anthony Zinno, a result good enough to put the American in 12th place in the Player of the Series leaderboard. He will be looking for another deep run when he takes his seat in the Main Event.
