Irene Carey Doubles Up and Then Adds a Bit More

Sep 18, 2017

After a flop of Diamond 7Club 4Club 2, Paul Snead checks the small blind, Irene Carey checks the big blind, and Jamie Kerstetter bets 3,500 from middle position. The player on the button calls, Snead folds, and Carey moves all in for 9,900.

Kerstetter folds, and the player on the button calls with Heart 8Diamond 8 for an overpair. Carey turns over Heart 7Heart 4 for two pair, sevens and fours, and she needs her hand to hold to stay alive.

The turn card is the Spade Q, the river card is the Club 9, and the two pair holds up for Carey to win the pot and double up in chips.
