A Lesson on Losing the Minimum with Vincent Gabel

Arne Marinus raised to 600 from the hijack and the player in the cutoff called. Vincent Gabel called on the button and Ryan Murphy called in the big blind.

The four players saw a Club KHeart KDiamond 7 flop and they each checked. The turn was the Club 2 and Murphy bet 600. Gabel just called and the river was the Heart 10. Murphy bet 2,100.

“I call,” said Gabel before showing Diamond KDiamond J for trip kings. However Murphy showed Spade 7Heart 7 for a flopped full house.

“How to lose the minimum!” said Gabel in astonishment.

“That’s a big check back on the flop,” commented Murphy.

“What else can I do!” said Gabel.

“Bet,” said Murphy.
