Bassel Zebib now sits on a stack of 420,000 as the players are going on their first break of the day. We caught up with him to see how his day has gone so far.
“Day 1a was easier,” he said with a grin, “Do you know I registered really late in Level 10 so I only had a couple of levels. The first day was better. All the hands I touched I won chips!
“Today is more difficult. It’s going to be very long!”
Despite the difficulty, Zebib has had a good day today, and explained how he won a big pot with pocket tens against an opponent holding queens.
“We bet on an Eight-Six-Six flop and then I bet 25,000 on the turn which was a three. He raised to 75,000 and I thought and then called.
“The river was a ten and I moved all in and he called and I won!”
