Ali Reza Fatehi Eliminated by Jeffrey Cormier

Shinobu Tanaka and Jeffrey Cormier recently registered for Day 1a and were immediately involved in the action on neighboring tables.
On the three-way flop of 
, Ali Reza Fatehi checked and so did Bulent Belek in the cutoff. Jeffrey Cormier bet 2,650 on the button and was the only one to call Fatehi’s check-raise to 7,600.
After the 
turn, Fatehi moved all in for approximately 17,000 only to see Cormier snap-call with the 
for a set. Fatehi had two outs, holding the 
himself, and failed to get there with a blank 
on the river.
At the same time, Tanaka faced Robert Heidorn and the latter check-called a bet of 3,200 on the 
turn. Heidorn also checked the 
river and folded to another bet of Tanaka.
