Third Time is a Charm for Ali Reza Fatehi?!

Jan 10, 2018

Fresh off winning a nice pot with a rivered nut-straight, Ran Azor opened the action of the next hand to 800 and picked up two callers in Jonathan Alley and Ali Reza Fatehi in the cutoff. On the flop of Heart KHeart QSpade 5, Azor asked “how many players” before betting 1,600, which both of his opponents called.

After the Club 2 turn, Azor checked and Alley bet 4,000 to see Fatehi call and Azor fold. The Spade Q on the river completed the board and Alley bet 6,500. Fatehi called and Alley nodded, then said “you got it” before briefly flashing his Diamond 10Spade 9 for a busted gutshot and ten-high. Fatehi scooped the pot with Spade KSpade 3, bumping his stack on the third bullet for the day.

Ali Reza Fatehi – 44,000
Ran Azor – 65,000
Jonathan Alley – 16,000
