Brian Murphy Eliminated in 113th Place by Sean Remz

Jan 31, 2018

Semsettin Ilyas raises from middle position, Sean Remz reraises from the button to 50,000, and Brian Murphy moves all in from the small blind for 66,000. Ilyas and Remz both call, and any further betting will create a side pot.

The flop comes Spade ASpade 9Heart 5, Ilyas checks, Remz bets 40,000, and Ilyas calls. The turn card pairs the board with the Heart 9, Ilyas checks, Remz bets 60,000, and Ilyas folds. Remz takes the side pot.

Murphy turns over Heart KClub K, but he’s drawing dead against the Heart ADiamond A of Remz, who has a full house, aces full of nines. (Ilyas claims he folded queens.)

The meaningless river card is the Diamond 7, and Remz wins the pot with his full house to eliminate Murphy in 113th place.

Sean Remz  –  685,000  (137 bb)
Semsettin Ilyas  –  278,000  (56 bb)
