Cairat Up and Down

Mar 30, 2018

Pedro Cairat
On a Club 10Heart 7Heart 6Spade 7Heart 9 board, Pedro Cairat was facing a bet of 2,025 from a single opponent and was thinking over his decision. Eventually he threw a chip in to indicate a call. His opponent shrugged and showed Heart ASpade J for ace-high, and Cairat turned over Diamond ASpade Q.

His opponent tapped the table. “Very good,” he said. “I’m impressed,” murmured someone at the table.

A shortwhile later three players including Cairat were still in the hand on a Spade 2Heart 6Club Q flop. The small blind checked to Cairat who bet 700. Another player called and the small blind folded. The turn was the Diamond 4. Cairat bet 1,525 and his opponent called.

Cairat checked the Diamond Q river and his opponent bet 2,000. This time there were to be no river heroics, and after giving it a little thought, Cairat elected to fold. He is still sitting on around starting stack as we enter the fourth level of the day.
