Sand Back for More After Cashing Yesterday

Fiona Sand cashed yesterdays 1pm flight of the $1,000,000 GTD 888poker WPT500 London, and is now back in action again in today’s 1pm flight.

“I don’t think I’ve ever played a tournament like this before,” said Sand. “There are so many starting days and it’s great to have the ability to cash in multiple flights.”

Since Sand cashed yesterday evening, she got the chance to try and make it to Day 2 again after narrowly missing out yesterday.

“I had one strategy yesterday, and a different one today. To me it’s all about the experience. Yes, you try and make it to Day 2 if you can, but I like to play different styles.”

Sand also said that she enjoyed playing at the same table as top Norwegian player Preben Stokkan (pictured below left, with Sand and Jon Kyte).

“He’s one of the best…ever!” said Sand, “You can learn a lot from him just by watching. I mean he doesn’t give much away, but getting to play with the best in the world is crazy. Sitting down and just watching him play was a lesson in itself!”
