After ten levels of play at the Holland Casino Amsterdam, it is Mindaugas Jonuskis who leads the Day 1b starting flight in the WPTDeepStacks Amsterdam.
It was a relatively quiet day, with the pace slow and steady throughout. There was a total of 112 entries, slightly up on the 103 players who entered on Day 1a. Jonuskis bagged 125,500, with Jim Saft the only other player with a six-figure stack after bagging 118,200. Arnaud Peyroles (96,400) was chip leader for most of the afternoon but faded just short of a six-figure stack.
Joining Jonuskis in Day 2 is former November Niner Michiel Brummelhuis (pictured above)(50,100) and Dutch bracelet winner Marcel Vonk (63,700). Other notables include former WPTDeepStacks Brussels runner-up Leonardo Armino, who bagged exactly starting stack – 25,000.
Other players advancing include Albert Hoekendijk (45,600), Jonathan Abdellatif (72,700), Yuri Ishida (pictured above)(39,200), and Jasper Meijer Van Putten (66,500).
Players who failed to make it through Day 1b included WPTDS Deauville runner-up Sandro Pitzanti (pictured below) and 888poker WPT500 London winner Gary Miller, the latter of which was eliminated in the very last hand of the day.
The pair still have the opportunity to enter the Turbo Day 1c, which includes 2017 Master Classics Of Poker High Roller winner Joris Ruys, or entering at the start of Day 2 tomorrow.
