WPTDS Final Tablist Farid Chati Enjoys an International Field Here in Amsterdam

Yesterday, Farid Chati finished fifth in the WPTDeepStacks for €15,665. Chati is 16th in the Belgian all-time money list, but has been a regular here at Holland Casino Amsterdam.

“I’ve played in Amsterdam for 18 years,” said Chati, “18 years, but poker for only 12 of them.”

By contrast, the WPT has been in Amsterdam for four years, and as to be expected, Chati has been ever-present.

“I’ve played all four years. I like when the WPT is here. It’s a nice series; the structure is good. The WPT staff are always very friendly.

“The first two years were more Dutch players, but the last two years it’s the reverse. Like today there’s a lot of international players. But I love that. Lots of nationalities! I see only professional players, but I like it. It’s like a challenge!”

We’ll have to see whether Chati rises to the challenge over the course of the rest of the day, in the face of such an international field.
