With the board reading Farid Chati bet 18,000 leaving himself 75 chips behind. His opponent, Champions Club member Ryan Riess, pondered what his opponent had.
“Pocket nines?” said Riess.
“I swear I don’t have a nine,” replied Chati, “I have the Queen.”
“Really?” replied Reiss, “That doesn’t make any sense.”
“I make you crazy, brother,” said Chati as the pair continued their banter back and forth, “You can take a picture with me later.”
Eventually, Chati (pictured below at the WPTDS Amsterdam final table) called the clock on Riess and as the seconds ticked down Riess folded. Chati showed the to much laughter from the small rail that had gathered.
Farid Chati – 28,000
Ryan Riess – 27,000
