Day 1A of Zynga Poker WPT500 Las Vegas comes to an end with 10 players remaining, and the chipleader is Marek Ohnisko (pictured) with 792,000 in chips.
Borenstein built up a big stack early, but really took control late in the day as the field reached the Money Bubble and the two pay jumps that followed.
Today was the first of nine starting flights, and there were 189 entries. The final 12.5% of each starting field finishes in the money, guaranteed at least $900 each, and the final 5% advance to Day 2.
Tonight play ended at 12:17 am with 32:27 remaining in Level 20, with blinds at 5,000-10,000 and big-blind ante of 10,000. When Day 2 begins, the blinds will roll back to the earliest finish of all the starting flights.
