Arthur Morris raises from the button to 30,000, Gardens Casino qualifier Denny Tran reraises from the big blind to 80,000, and Morris calls.

The flop comes Diamond 8Spade 4Heart 3, Tran bets 200,000, and Morris calls.

The turn card is the Spade J, Tran moves all in for 355,000, and Morris tosses in one of his Time Chips to give himself time to think. When Tran sees the Time Chip go in, he mistakenly interprets it as a call and reveals his hand — Club AHeart 8 for a pair of eights.

A floorperson is called over for a ruling, and the action stands as is, with Tran receiving a one-hand penalty after this hand for showing his cards with action pending.

After seeing Tran’s cards, Morris folds, and Tran takes the pot.

Denny Tran  –  940,000  (63 bb)
