Note: There was an error of miscommunication in this post saying that Mike Sexton folded a set of queens, but he actually folded a set of fours. We apologize for the error.
Andrew Lam limps under the gun for 100, Mike Sexton calls UTG+1, Jishant Sapra limps from the small blind, and the big blind checks his option.
The flop comes , both blinds check, and Lam bets 300. Sexton raises to 800, Sapra reraises to 2,500, and the big blind folds. Lam four-bets it to 6,300, and Sexton and Sapra both call.
The turn card is the , and Sapra moves all in for about 30,000. Lam calls with a slightly larger stack, and Sexton folds face up — a set of fours.
Sexton’s fold was correct, as Sapra shows for a turned set of kings. Lam turns over for a flopped set of fives, and Sapra needs to avoid one out — the five of clubs — to stay alive.
The river card is the , and Sapra wins the pot with his set of kings to double up in chips.
Jishant Sapra – 79,000 (790 bb)
Mike Sexton – 29,000 (290 bb)
Andrew Lam – 3,000 (30 bb)
