Day 2 will get underway shortly, with cards in the air at 12:30 pm today, local time. This will be the first time that players from each of the starting flights will come together to play here at Casino Sochi.
Dmitry Yurasov starts in pole position after finishing with a huge 271,400 chips last night. Only Denis Koprov comes through with a stack over 200,000, starting in second place with 231,500. Alexandr Shelukhin begins in third with 195,000.
Day 1d finished last night and at the time of writing this, the fifth and final flight, Day 1e, is in action too.
There are not a set number of levels on the schedule today. Instead, play will continue until the bubble bursts, promising a day of excitement and action right until the very end. All those who have chips left will return for Day 3 on Saturday, with a guaranteed cash under their belts.
Day 3 will also see the first time the live survivors combine with those who have progressed from the online Day 1 and Day 2s that ran through partypoker.
Back to today, and levels remain at 60 minutes long. Play resumes from Level 9, with blinds of 400-800 800 big blind ante. Late registration is open for the first four levels of the day, closing at the end of Level 12 (around 4:30 pm). Prize pool and payout information will be confirmed then.
Breaks will be every two hours (at the end of every second) level.
