Day 1B Ends with Gary Lin and Pim van Wassenberg as the Big Chipleaders (54 Players Advance)

There were another 435 entries on Friday for Day 1B, increasing the tournament total to 705, and building the prizepool up to AUD $1,269,000.

They were planning to play down to the final 55 players, but after simultaneous eliminations during Hand #2 of hand-for-hand play, action ended with 54 survivors who bagged up chips and advance to Day 2.

Action ended tonight with 22:25 remaining in Level 15, with blinds at 3,000-6,000 with a 6,000 ante. Day 2 will begin with the blinds where they ended in whichever flight finished the earliest, which will be no later than Level 14, with blinds at 3,000-5,000 with a 5,000 ante.

The final starting flight (Day 1c) begins tomorrow at 11:30 am, and registration remains open with unlimited re-entries until about 4:15 pm.
