The World Poker Tour has returned to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida for the Poker Showdown Series and Day 1A of the much-awaited WPT Showdown Championship of Season 2023 is set to begin at 11 AM EST.
Last season, Mark Davis claimed the title after outlasting 2,010 entries for a top prize of $1,000,300.
This event features a buy-in of $3,500 and promises $3 million in guaranteed prize pool. Two opening flights will be available and both of them will follow the same structure. Players will start with 50,000 in chips and late registration will remain open until the start of Level 9, during which unlimited re-entry will be available.
For Day 1A and Day 1B, levels will be of 60 minutes throughout the day with a 15-minute break every two levels and a 90-minute dinner break at the completion of Level 6, at appromixated 5:30 PM. Each starting day will end after 10 or 11 levels if necessary.
Day 2 will begin on Sunday, April 30th at 12 PM EST and Day 3 will take place on Monday, May 1st at 12 PM EST with a plan to play down to 16 players. Day 4 is scheduled for Tuesday, May 2nd at 12 PM EST and will reach the final six.
The final table of 6 will be played at the Hyper X ESports Arena at the Luxor in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 25th.
