The Cherry on Top

Philip Jacobson raises to 1,700 in the hijack seat, Morten Christensen calls in the cutoff before Christian Cherry squeezes from the big blind. The bet is 6,500 and Jacobson doesn’t want any part of it as his hand goes into the muck. The action falls to our WPT Champions Club member and he does fancy it. He tanks for a few minutes before deciding to call and we are heads up to the flop.

Cherry quickly checks, Christensen doesn’t do anything quick, but when he does do something it is to bet 5,500. Action onto Cherry, and he just calls prompting a rye smile from Christensen.

Turn: [4c]

Cherry checks his cards and just moves all-in. Christensen has this look on his face that says, "What have I gotten myself into?" He takes his time, but you can tell he is going to fold. Sure enough his hand hits the muck and Cherry takes the chips.
