Taylor Black Doubles His Stack

Taylor Black raises to 12,000 under the gun and Tim Vance calls in the lojack. The hijack announces he’s all in and Black does the same.

Vance has the stacks counted: the hijack has 110,000 and Black has 113,000. 

“I fold,” announces Vance quietly, showing face up.

Black asks if Vance announces a call or a fold, and the latter speaks up to clarify he had folded before the players turn their cards up.

The runout comes Black’s flopped set of queens has his opponent drawing dead by the turn, and he collects the pot to more than double his stack.

With the elimination, 75 players now remain. Day 1C will come to an end when that number reaches 70, with all remaining players in the money and advancing to Sunday’s Day 2.
