Day 1C of the World Poker Tour World Championship $600 NLH $1 Million Guarantee drew 604 entries, nearly as many as both Day 1 flights on Wednesday combined (647). Seventy players made it into the money and advanced to Day 2 with Tim Vance (783,000) leading the field by a long shot after nearly doubling his stack in the final hour of the day.
Like the two flights before it, Day 1C ended in Level 18 (4,000-8,000). However, its 5:00 remaining time in the level was the latest so far, meaning all players from the flight will gain extra time when they return for Sunday’s Day 2.
Other above-average stacks included:
Petru Achimas – 658,000
Raj Ramakrishnan – 429,000
Mehdi Anooshah – 418,000
Levi Berger – 409,000
Tommy Su – 401,000
Jaime Sanchez – 347,000
Zlatin Penev – 326,000
Taylor Black – 267,000
Complete chip counts from Day 1C will be posted later tonight along with final counts from Day 1D.
Day 1D coverage will continue through the evening until 12.5% of the field remains. Stay tuned to WPT.com for all the updates.
