Today sees the third of four starting flights for The World Poker Tour Prime Championship at The Wynn in Las Vegas, Nevada. Thursday saw a total of 1,636 entrants secure a pathway forward for the 204 survivors, while Friday saw the number of entrants increase to 2,198 to see only 273 bag up to move on to Monday, December 11th.
The total number of players sits at 3,834, meaning that the $5 million guarantee could very well be hit in this flight.
Topping yesterday’s chip counts was Matias Gabrejna (1,135,000) while Zyad Qasem (1,133,000) sat right behind him on the counts.
Players will sit down with 40,000 in chips with blinds beginning at 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante. Levels will last 40 minutes each with a 15-minute break occurring at the conclusion of every three levels.
A 75-minute dinner break will occur at the conclusion of Level 9 after which the registration period, of which players can use a single re-entry during, will close. Play will continue until just 12.5% of the field remains.
