It seems almost ironic that someone with the nickname ‘Big Roger’ has been eliminated by someone possessing a surname that means ‘Small", but that is exactly what has just happened.
Bruno Fitoussi has just recently sat down. He instantly struck up a conversation with Roger Hairabedian where he was asking how Hairabedian had ended up so short. Fitoussi then makes a raise to 500 and four players call. The flop is [9h] [7s] [4d], the action checks to Petit who bets 1,200, Hairabedian raises to 3,200 from the button, everyone else folds back to Petit who makes it 7,000, Hairabedian moves all-in for not much more and Petit makes the call.
Showdown
Petit: [4s] [4c]
Hairabedian: [6s] [5s]
So it was bottom set trying to dodge the open-ended straight draw. The turn [Kh] and river [2s] made sure Petit stayed ahead and Hairabedian was out.
Petit ~ 65,000
