When the curtain finally closed on Day Two, it was the name of Marco Lang that was being beamed to the world in neon lights. Elio Fox left him in the gates this morning, after a lightning fast start, but he was always in contention. That may have just changed after he was involved in a monster pot against Manuel Bevand.
Bevand opens to 10,000, Lang three-bets to 28,000 in the big blind, Bevand four-bets to 58,000, Lang moves all-in and Bevand calls.
Showdown
Bevand: [Ac] [Ad]
Lang: [Kh] [Qh]
The flop was [Ks] [7h] [6c] and Bevand didn’t like it. But he needn’t have worried as the [6d] and [4h] completed the action and Bevand found a huge double up.
Lang is far from in out of it – in fact he still has over 60BB – but just how this setback will affect him is yet to be known?
Bevand ~ 670,000
Lang ~ 370,000
