Darcourt Damaged: Set Over Set

Dec 5, 2012

WPT Champions Club member Guillaume Darcourt has just had the worse possible start.

The Frenchman has just been pulled out of the midst of a set over set situation. Luckily, the results were not fatal and Darcourt is left with 19,200 chips. The beneficiary of the 10,800 gap in his chip stack is Denis Pisarev.

We believe Pisarev bet 1,275 on a flop of [Qc] [Js] [5c] and then called a Darcourt 3,375 raise. The turn was the [4s] and Pisarev check-called a 3,525 Darcourt bet. Finally, on a [3c] river Pisarev check-called a 5,125 Darcourt bet. Pisarev showed pocket queens and Darcourt showed pocket fours.

Pisarev finished in 12th place in last years WPT Prague.
