Jazayeri Doubles Through Stojanovic

Sep 11, 2012

We last saw Darko Stojanovic at WPT Vienna in Season X where he absolutely crushed the field on Day 1B finishing as the overwhelming chip leader. He was great fun to watch, with his any-two cards attitude causing his opponents to shake their heads wildly. Today he is back and he has players shaking their heads all over again. This time it is Steve O’Dwyer who is getting a birds eye view of Stojanovic in action, and his head is shaking from side to side with frequent velocity.

But if you play every hand, you are going to lose more than you win, as is the case with Stojanovic…here is a prime example.

Stojanovic makes a standard raise and WPT Champions Club member Sean Jazayeri makes the call. The flop is [4s] [3s] [2h] and Jazayeri takes the betting lead for 2,000, Stojanovic makes it 4,500, Jazayeri moves all-in for 15,000 and Stojanovic makes the call. Jazayeri turns over [As] [Ac] for the over pair and Stojanovic has [Ax] [4x] for top pair and the draw.

The turn [8s] and river [7h] keep Jazayeri ahead and he doubles up.

Jazayeri ~ 45,000
Stojanovic ~ 23,000
