Fabian Gumz Chewed Up by Gergely Kulcsar's Aces

Apr 11, 2024

Gergely Kulcsar is off to a hot start after being one of the latest entries into Day 1B.

After he raised to 3,200 in early position and got a call from Ilyas Unlu in the hijack, Fabian Gumz moves all in for his last 11,300 from the small blind. Kulcsar calls, and Unlu shrugs and calls as well.

On the Diamond ADiamond 10Spade 6 flop, Kulcsar checks and then calls a 12,500 chip bet from Unlu.

They then check the Heart 10 turn, and on the Heart 6 river, Kulcsar checks a final time before Unlu moves all in, barely covering Kulcsar’s remaining 16,000.

Kulcsar snap calls and rolls over Spade AClub A for aces full of tens.

Gumz shows his losing Heart AHeart K and heads for the exit, and Unlu shows Diamond KDiamond 6 for sixes full of tens which go up in smoke.

Unlu would be eliminated shortly after, while Gumz has re-entered before registration closes.

Gergely Kulcsar – 95,000 (59 bb)
Fabian Gumz – 40,000 (25 bb)
Ilyas Unlu – eliminated
