Kostya Zaks Goes Runner-Runner to Survive

WPT Global Ambassador Conor O’Driscoll opens to 115,000 from the button, and is faced with a three-bet to 900,000 from Kostya Zaks in the big blind, leaving himself about 60,000 behind. O’Driscoll thinks it through, then moves all in with the covering stack. Zaks doesn’t like it but has little choice but to call off.

O’Driscoll is ahead and the looks good and gives him a pair of aces. However the turn is almost the worst in the deck, giving Zaks gutshot and flush draws, and sure enough the rolls off on the river to give him the flush.
