Francis Anderson Shoves the River in "Hand #16" Against Brian Altman

Nov 15, 2024

Francis Anderson raises from the hijack to about 5,000, three-time WPT champion Brian Altman reraises from the cutoff to 12,000, and Anderson four-bets it to 27,000. Altman thinks for a while before he calls.

Wagner Wysotchanski isn’t in the hand, but he says Anderson and Altman have been playing a lot of hands against each other, and it sounds like Wysotchanski has been tracking this.

“Put it in the blog that this is Hand #16 between these two.”

The flop comes Heart QSpade 7Diamond 3, Anderson bets 12,500, and Altman calls. The turn card is the Diamond 6, and both players check.

The river card is the Club 10, and Anderson moves all in for 62,000. Altman asks for an exact count, and then thinks for a bit before he folds. Anderson takes the pot.

Francis Anderson  –  146,000  (73 bb)
