With the final board showing and about 17,500 already in the pot, Shadd Baudoin moves all in from the small blind for 43,000.
William Lamar-Boone tanks for a long time in the cutoff with about 29,500 in his stack, thinking out loud as he contemplates his decision.
Lamar-Boone asks, “Why did you lead into me like that?”
After some more thought, Lamar-Boone says, “I can only put you on one hand. Maybe two. But the more important question is what are you putting me on?”
Lamar-Boone apologizes to the other players at the table, but it’s still before the first break, and nobody seems particularly annoyed. A little while later, Lamar-Boone asks the dealer to call for a clock.
A floorperson arrives and gives Lamar-Boone a 60-second countdown. Lamar-Boone uses maybe half of that time before he folds face up for trip queens.
Baudoin takes the pot and says, “Nice laydown.”
Lamar-Boone pressures Baudoin to show his cards too, and Baudoin thinks for a bit before he shows — he was bluffing with an underpair.
“You asked for it,” says Baudoin.
Lamar-Boone smiles and says, “Nice job, bro. I like that. Good job.”
Shadd Baudoin – 60,500 (151 bb)
