Dan Natarelli Is Showing Either Way

Aug 28, 2011

Brent Hanks raises from under the gun, Adam Aronson calls in the cutoff, Tuan Nguyen calls from the small blind, and Dan Natarelli calls out of the big blind.

The flop comes down [7h5c2c] and Nguyen checks.  Natarelli bets 19,000 and Hanks calls, as does Aronson.  Nguyen folds.  The turn brings the  [Jh] and Natarelliu shoves all-in for 139,000.

Hanks thinks silently for a couple of minutes before folding, then it is Aronson’s turn in the tank.  As he deliberates, Natarelli asks him, "Do you have ace-jack?"

Aronson half-nods his head and Natarelli says, "Oh, you do have ace-jack."

Aronson continues to deliberate and finally asks Natarelli if he will show if he folds.

"With all these people and cameras around, they are getting turned over either way," Natarelli tells him.

Aronson eventually folds and the table implores Natarelli to show.  He holds up [2h2c] for a set of deuces.

"It is my wife’s father’s hand. He passed away, so I felt I had to play it," Natarelli explains.
